Loyiso Bala is expected to make a clean sweep at the South African Music awards.
The nominee-list was released late yesterday and Bala’s name appears four times.
He has been nominated in the categories of best R&B album, best video, best producer, and best engineer.
The honours come after his latest album, Blow Your Mind, took South Africa by storm. The single I Want You was particularly well received.
Other interesting nominations include newcomer Mo Molemi, who is contending with big boys such as Jub Jub, and Prokid for the best rap album.
Mandoza could use some good news after his car accident last month, and his nomination for Best Kwaito Album should do the trick.
Hip Hop Pantsula is also one to watch because he seems to be on a winning streak.
After winning last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, he then took a Stars of Mzansi award.
The rapper has now been nominated for best male artist and best rap album.
And for the first time, the awards will acknowledge the best song available on download as well as best music DVD.
Other nominees include rock band Seether, Tasha Baxter, DJ Cleo and Freshlyground.
The awards will take place on May 3 at Sun City in North West.

First off I would like to say excellent blog! I
had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.

I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
Appreciate it!
