DJ Sgqemeza's gossip angered Maskand Legend

Maskandi Legend Bhekumuzi Luthuli has shifted his fight from his long time rival also Maskandi musician, Thokozani Langa to a radio Personality, Ukhozi FM’s Sipho Mbatha. Ezintsha zithi Mr. Luthuli has promised to beat the hell out of Sipho Mbatha affectionately known as DJ Sgqemeza. This comes after the host of a new slot on Ukhozi fm’s “kusazobamnandi show” is believed to have “embarrassed” Luthuli on his frequent gossip feature. The show is aired on Saturdays between 09h00-12h00 with gossip feature rated as one of the tuning inn factor. On the 06th of October 2007 Sgqemeza cited on air the incident happened in Nongoma on the 30th Of September 2007 whereby Luthuli initially refused to perform allegedly because his rival and the Zululand homeboy Thokozani Langa performed first. Among other things Luthuli mentioned was the issue of a live performance as compared to a CD miming. Luthuli disappointed thousands of fans by only performing two tracks of which some had scratches on them and told fans he wasn’t gonna perform well. “Bengizele ukuzonijabulisa kodwa manje sengizoniculela lemfishimfishi le enizoyibuka, ningangibuzi ukuthi yini, sengicula ingoma yokugcina, yiyo lemfishifishi engizoniculela yona”. People were amazed and confused as all artists performed their 45 minutes as per organizer’s directive. Luthuli only performed the maximum of ten minutes that left his fans confused about his action. The following week Mbatha included the incident on his gossip feature as a result Luthuli promised ukuzibambela mathupha ku Mbatha. Asked about the looming hostility between the two, DJ Sgqemeza laughed. “Look mina, I’ve got quite lots of things to worry about, the issue of who is threatening who akungisabisi neze, there are so many people I did gossips about, I mean really gossips; they never offered ukungishaya. Thokozani Langa, Amageza Amahle, Mfiliseni Magaubane, Bongi Bube, Beezori were among other artists who performed their set as per the directive. They were all paid to perform. Mean while Thokozani Langa and Amageza won at Satma awards, Langa walked away with the Best Male awards while amageza proved to be the best maskandi group. Langa and Luthuli are still at loggerheads with each other; u-Mfokamolo believes that u-Somnandi (Langa) is copping his style.
