Alright South Africa, we have been forwarded the list of the first ever Stars Of Mzansi Awards, which aims to highlight the creme de la creme in South Africa’s Egoliwood.
One thing you’ll notice on the list is that its full of SABC actors and DJs, and our sources tell us that Primedia and E-TV wants to pull out their stars out of the awards.
The Awards will be held at the State Theatre, Pretoria on the 29th of February. They will be brodcast live on SABC 20h30.Here’s the list:

10 Sep 2007. Performing to a crowd of 1500 screaming spectators at the finals of the Hennessy Artistry DJ Battle, Johannesburg local DJ Sai and Mother City spinner Codax took top honours at the Hennessy Artistry DJ Battle, winning the house and hip hop genres respectively.
Originally hailing from Soweto, DJ Sai defeated his rivals DJ Tallman from Durban and Ian Brink from Cape Town to win the house section, getting the crowd at Soweto’s Backroom venue on their feet with his pumping house beats. Capetonian Codax used his inventive scratching and keen crowd control to defeat Jozi’s Milkshake and East Coast DJ Pay-Per-Kut to take the hip hop genre.
“It’s been a long journey for these DJs,” says primary hip hop judge and local music icon, DJ Ready D. “They’ve beat some stiff competition to get to this point but both of them were hungry for the win. Their original mix of style, technique and sheer energy got them serious points with the judging panel and I hope this is another step towards a successful DJ career.”
DJ Sai and Codax now join a host of well-known music personalities who have performed in the name of Hennessy Artistry. With international superstars such as Kanye West, Carl Cox and The Strokes putting their names to the global music campaign, Hennessy Artistry promotes the art of mixing various genres, blending the talents of the world’s top artists.
This year’s finale event, the global Hennessy Artistry concert, is set to take place in celebrity-studded Los Angeles, and will see superstar acts such as Pharrell Williams and Fall Out Boy share one stage. Tickets for the Soweto Derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs that is to be played at the Absa Stadium in Durban on Saturday have been sold out.Bucs communications manager Mickey Modisane has confirmed that the no more tickets are available for the showpiece event and warned those fans who do not have tickets not come near the stadium as they have stringent security measures in place.More than 3 000 international dignitaries are expected in the Natal coastal resort city and the Bucs v Amakhosi game is to be televised worldwide.“We want to appeal to those fans that failed to get tickets to stay at home and watch the game on TV. The good news for fans in Kwazulu Natal is that the provincial government has set up big screens in designated areas where the game will be shown live,” Modisane adds.“This game will not only involve the pride for the two teams but will be an advert to soccer fans around the world that South Africa has the capability to host the 2010 World Cup.”Modisane’s appeal for discipline among the fans has been supported by both clubs’ No 1 supporters, Saddam Maake and Mzion Mofokeng who also urged supporters to arrive early to the stadium.“Both Pirates and Chiefs will be the country’s ambassadors on Saturday and our plea to supporters is respect the outcome of the result. I'm wondering....Sunday Sun reported about Bongani & Mbali taking their on screen relationship off screen....Mbali Mlotshwa Bongani MasondoManaka Ranaka Ntuthuko Mdletshe.Sunday World had the same thing but their story was about Manaka and her on screen live in lover, Ntuthuko.So, is it a coincidence or were things really hott in Tshisa??? Hayi mina I don't know what to believe anymore...actually I give up. Anyway ke, they went as far as saying that Ntuthuko is the father of Manaka's baby but Manaka is even denying ukuthi she's preggers....wow, she certainly has gained a lotta weight on the tummy area then.
