''Mzansi’s own Afro-pop Queen, Kelly Khumalo is again at the loggerheads with her former recording label, Bonsai Entertainment for what one assumes to be a ‘breech of contract’. Just to fill you in; Khumalo is alleged to have left Bonsai to establish ProKelly Entertainment with her fiancée, Prosper Mkwaiwa before her contract expired. According to the reports, Khumalo is still signed under Bonsai and owes the label a few releases before she can call it a day with them. But now, the artist has gone and recorded a new project, ‘Siyajabula’ regardless. The album seems to be out or ready to be released, but Bonsai is playing a hectic legal game. It was reported in a Sunday paper that Bonsai has actually gone to the Jozi high court and secured a court interdict stopping Khumalo from releasing her new project. But the move seems to be a little late since publications like MIO have already laid their hands on the album. By the look of things, Khumalo has burnt her bridges and Bonsai is definitely out on a mission and not backing down. And what I can tell is that the sister has opted to also play the game. ‘Siyajabula’ is happening, very hot and irresistible! But the future of it remains uncertain, how sad.
